Duskpaw is a sandy brown tom. Dark brown is dappled across the top of his head, his ears and his legs. There is a darker tinge of brown around his face. Up and down his legs and on his face are dark brown tabby stripes. His eyes are a bright amber colour, almost yellow. He is strongly built.
P E R S O N A L i T Y: Duskpaw is a rather short-tempered young tom. Whining Elders and annoying Kits tend to get on his nerves very easily. He frequently snaps and talks back to his mentor and seems to have little respect for anyone, including his leader.
Despite this, Duskpaw is a very caring cat. He empathizes with anyone who's ill or injured in anyway. He tends to get attached to others very easily. He enjoys the company of other apprentices and loves to play fight.
He struggles to get used to the responsibilities and restrictions of being an Apprentice.
M E M O i R S: Duskpaw was born to a single mother, his father's identity remaining unknown to him. He was the only survivor of the litter, as his mother had been young when he was born, and his mother was fiercely protective of him. Through his kithood, his mother often stopped him from playing with the other kits if they got too rough and was always watching him, so he had no chance of adventure. The young Duskkit hated this.
One night, as his mother slept peacefully, the now 4 moon old kit escaped from the nursery and out into the wide, bare territory of SolarClan. He eventually got lost, totally confused in the expanse of strange land and decided to follow a strange, terrible scent, thinking it must be a cat from one of the other Clans. It wasn't.
As the russet fox turned to attack him, his mother came to the rescue. The poor young tom had to watch, helplessly, in horror as the fox killed his mother. A patrol arrived, but much too late for Mousewing, his mother.
Back at camp, the kit slipped into a sea of depression and horror, rarely able to sleep because of the nightmares. He stayed with the Medicine Cat, who done their best to stop the nightmares and cheer him up. At 6 moons, he left the Medicine Cat Den and became an apprentice, cheering up slightly now that he had something to distract himself with.
