Flickerpaw and Firepaw were inseparable ever since they were two moons old. They grew up together, and on the night they were to become apprentices it happened. Flickerpaw confessed his feelings for her, and she admitted the way she felt about him too. They promised to raise a family together and knew that everything had worked out. As they were walking back to camp before the ceremony, a full grown fox attacked them....
They both saw the splash of ginger fur. It was soaked in blood, and since both cats had red-orange pelts, they assumed it was each others. Heartbroken, Firepaw ran back to camp. Struck with grief, Flickerpaw ran the opposite way. They never knew about the rogue who had snagged her claw shortly before....
Now, Firebreath is a warrrior and Flickerpaw a loner. They can't accept that each other is gone. Will they ever find each other again?
Here are some suggestions of what could happen. Vivi has the final say, because these are just ideas. Cats needed come in a second.

[/b]Firebreath, disappointed when a flicker of orange fur near the camp turns out to be a clan mate returning from patrol, decides to go on a walk to calm her nerves. She meets up with a strangely familiar ginger-cream colored tom (the grown Flickerpaw) who says he's heard of Clan-life, too upset about Firebreath's "death" to explain that he once lived there. The two became friends, and Firebreath feels guilty for becoming so close to another tom, even though Flickerpaw is "dead"
If you have a better idea, let me know via this thread =P
